ASTON MARTIN AND RED BULL RACING REACH AN AGGREMENT OVER DAN FALLOWS

Aston martin new Technical Director will join the team earlier than expected in april this year.

Fallows was the head of aereodynamics in Red Bull Racing abd they have made it not easy for him to join Aston Martin.

As his contract with Red Bull runs until 2023 there was initially a suggestion he may be held to its entire duration, or placed on extensive gardening leave.

Fallows was thought to have been removed from his factory position late last year and the expectation was he would therefore join Aston Martin before the end of 2022.

But following talks, Red Bull and Aston Martin on Tuesday released a joint statement saying Fallows would join his new team on April 2 – and until then he “remains a Red Bull Technology employee”.

Aston Martin Group Chief Executive Martin Whitmarsh said: “We are pleased to have reached an agreement with Red Bull which releases Dan early from his contract and are looking forward to him joining the team.”

Red Bull boss Christian Horner added: “We would like to thank Dan for his many years of excellent service and wish him well for the future.”

Fallows said: “I've enjoyed many happy years at Red Bull Racing and am proud of what we achieved. I am looking forward to next season and a new challenge.”

Fallows will form part of a triumvirate of technical leaders at billionaire Lawrence Stroll’s Aston Martin team, joining Performance Director Tom McCullough and Engineering Director Luca Furbatto – the latter having moved across from Alfa Romeo at the end of last season. The trio will report to Chief Technical Officer Andrew Green.

Fallows has worked at Red Bull since 2006, rising from Aerodynamics Team Leader to head the department in 2014. During that period the team won four drivers’ and four constructors’ championships with Sebastian Vettel, with whom Fallows will link up with again at Aston Martin.

Will this signing help Aston close the gap to it's rival's? Will Stroll's masterplan come to frution?

only time will tell stay tuned for more
