Honda will stay until 2025

Εικόνα
Honda is set to continue supplying power units to Red Bull directly from Japan until 2025 until the end of the current engine regulations in F1, in a dramatic change of plans. Honda ceased its official works involvement in the sport at the end of last season, and henceforth Red Bull is paying for its services, including the development of this year's power unit for the move from E5 to E10 fuel. The original strategy as announced late last year was that the new Red Bull Powertrains division would take complete power units from Honda, with full engineering support at the tracks, only in 2022. Once RBP had got up to speed it would then build the engines from Honda parts at its Milton Keynes facility in 2023, 2024 and 2025 while simultaneously working on its own project for the new F1 rules that come into force in 2026. However Red Bull motorsport boss Helmut Marko has revealed that the plan has changed, and the intention now is that Honda will continue to supply complete engines fro

So we decided we should rank the biggest of those drivers moves. But we won't be counting rookie signings in this list although we will count moves that where aggred on 2009 but where for 2010. #10 CHARLES LECLERC FROM SAUBER TO FERRARI      In September of 2018 Ferrari announced that Charles Leclerc will join the team partering Sebastian Vettel for the 2019 season.Promoting Leclerc was an obvious decision having won in Formula 2 in his first year and having an impressive season with Sauber in 2018.   Formula 1 will keep racing in the Marina Bay street circuit after it made a new deal to keep the Singapore gp until 2028. The Singapore GP, a firm F1 favourite since debuting its night race in 2008, has had to be cancelled in the last two years due to the coronavirus pandemic and, even though it was included on this season's calendar, that was despite not having a contract for 2022. "The Marina Bay Street Circuit hosted the first night race in F1 history in 2008, and Singapore has continued to thrill fans, teams, and drivers ever since," said F1 president and CEO Stefano Domenicali. "Singapore holds a special place on the F1 calendar, and this extension is part of our long-term commitment to continue to grow the sport in Asia." He added: "The plans that are in place to reduce the carbon footprint of the event are impressive and align with our plans to be Net Zero Carbon as a sport by 2030 and I look forward to continuing our successful relationship with S

Alpha Tauri finished sixth last year it hopes that the unchanged line-up of race winner Pierre Gasly and Yuki Tsunoda will help them to move up the order this season.Although their previous engine supplier Honda has pulled out of F1, they will continue with the same power units as its sister team Red Bull has created its own power unit division. But despite new rules introduced for this year aimed at closing up the grid, AlphaTauri team boss Franz Tost has remained cautious about just what is possible in the new era. Will Michael Masi leave?

Εικόνα
After the special investigation on the events in the title decider in Abu Dhabi are going on many want the Australian race director Michael Masi gone.Especially the British mainly Hamilton fans and many journalists. But the world champion of 1996 Damon Hill has a different opinion believing that dismissing Michael Masi will not be part of the solution.Hill talked about Masi on Sky F1  “I think he’s learned his lesson. I think we need someone who has some experience,” “These people know what they are dealing with. He just needs back-up and needs to be given the confidence that he can lay down the law according to what he wants to see done. “Assuming, of course, he wants it to be run to the regulations.” Hill presents the cause of the problem.Because even if Masi acted wrong, maybe in a similar situation he would have a different approach. On the contrary if we put a new guy to replace him,he will have to learn this from the start. The new season starts on the 20th of March in Bahrain.Tw

All the teams and drivers are preparing for the new season of Formula 1.The new season is expected with great interest due to the new regulations and the new aerodynamics that the cars will have most notably the new floor design which will bring back the ground effect which is something we haven't seen since the 80's. Another major change will be the new 18 inch tyres that will be introduced this year by Pirelli. The minimum car weight will be increased and from 759kg it will go at 775kg.There will be changes in the engines which will see the engines use biofuel mostly and there will be an engine freeze until 2025 also there will be a few changes for the safety of the drivers. All these changes have been made because F1 wants to promote better racing,so the drivers can make easier overtakes and increase the spectacle. The Five Contenders for the 2022 F1 Drivers Championship

Εικόνα
There are 20 driver's on the F1 grid who can in theory can challenge for the driver's championship but in reality only few will have the machinery to actually challenge for the championship and with the new set of rules coming to effect this year's there might be more than two driver challenging for this year's championship.  Here are our five choices   MAX VERSTAPPEN    The reigning World Champion would surely want to add another championship to his collection and he will be in the position to do so this year with many rumours claiming that the RB18 is already faster than the RB16B which was the car that Verstappen won his championship this year. Also Verstappen is coming after a fantastic 2021 where he was simply amazing taking the fight to Hamilton and Mercedes proving that he isn't simply the star of the future but of the present as well. But he will also be looking to prove his doubters wrong and show that he is a deserving World Champion.A small fun fact is t

IS VW READY TO ENTER F1?

Εικόνα
Mclaren's team boss Zack Brown has admitted that they have talked with the Volkswagen Group, whose brands(Audi and Porsche) have been linked with a future Formula One entry, but that nothing has been agreed.                                                                                                                    VW has seriously considered entering F1 especially after the announcement by the FIA of the new set of rules for the engines which will be introduced in 2026.The 1.6 litre engines will remain but without the complex MGU-H component from the hybrid system (which was one of the thing's that VW wanted to leave before they commited to F1), which will have an uprated MGU-K (to 350kW, around 469bhp) and an undefined power unit cost cap.                        German newspaper Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung has reported that VW's supervisory board will decide at the end of February whether both Audi and Porsche will enter F1. Who will replace Hamilton if he retires?

Εικόνα
No we are not saying that he will retire but over a month has passed since the controvesial title decider where Hamilton lost the championship to Max Verstappen after the whole controversy of the decision of the FIA to decide the championship on the last lap. After all that Hamilton has not been active on social media and there have been some serious question marks if he's gonna return and it has been hinted by Toto Wolff that Hamilton's F1 future is in question. So if Hamilton does decide to say goodbye to F1 who should Mercedes bring to replace him?                     We have some suggestions. ESTEBAN OCON In the hypothetical scenario that Hamilton does retire Ocon is likely to be the one called to fill the vacant seat although he does have a long term contract with Alpine and it is unlikely that they would let him go Mercedes can reach some sort of aggrement with Alpine to allow Ocon to leave. That will be beneficial to both teams as it will allow Alpine to promote Oscar

Aston martin new Technical Director will join the team earlier than expected in april this year. Fallows was the head of aereodynamics in Red Bull Racing abd they have made it not easy for him to join Aston Martin. As his contract with Red Bull runs until 2023 there was initially a suggestion he may be held to its entire duration, or placed on extensive gardening leave. Fallows was thought to have been removed from his factory position late last year and the expectation was he would therefore join Aston Martin before the end of 2022. But following talks, Red Bull and Aston Martin on Tuesday released a joint statement saying Fallows would join his new team on April 2 – and until then he “remains a Red Bull Technology employee”.
